However, when push comes to shove, when people start ragging on me, it would be unnatural of me not to defend myself. Of course, my defensive method involves the writing of increasingly outrageous material, in an attempt to parody what the assailants are saying. This is both the most humourous and enjoyable way to do it IMO, and I like to be entertained. I actually feel pretty bad that EVERYONE quickly joins in and in no time at all (in fact, within about 3 hours of me joining the board) I'm not being taken in the slightest bit seriously. I enjoy the fact that I can hit back, but I don't enjoy the fact that people don't seem to understand what i'm doing, and that I don't actually mean anyone any harm.

I think this 'creepy' thing is exaggerated and abused as a term too often now. All too convenient. Perhaps attempts to flirt or even just attempts at humour/ice-breaking only get judged as creepy when there is not mutual attraction (not limited to sexual attraction....actually I feel pretty creepy right now just typing 'sexual attraction', DAMMIT). OR they are misjudged badly in the first place (easy to misjudge when trying to talk to people you don't really know), suggesting the person is socially inept or, if you will, AN CREEP. But it's interesting if you don't know what the person looks like (maybe more interesting if you do).

Thinking too much about something/someone tends to be judged creepy it seems. And being too readily open about personal matters, I guess.

But if ILXors never want to be told how pretty they are by people they don't necessarily know, why the hell is there a WDYLL thread every freakin month? Perhaps that thread concept is inherently 'creepy' itself? Or at least the way it pans out is. Perhaps not. I keep looking at it anyway, as do many others. It's one thing for someone to compliment you on relatively superficial level ("u r hott") every now and then. I would've thought it only becomes creepy when they KEEP doing it, building it up to a obsessive level - no matter how playful it's intended.

I don't really mind when these threads get derailed because it's otherwise only quotes people found funny, so not that big a deal.

I worked at a donut shop once, making donuts. They are always BAD bcz I discovered everyone is one 8 different drugs while they make them. But. One day I fried a giant rectangle of dough, glazed it tiwce, frosted the whole thing w/chocolate, puched 3 holes in it, filled them with boston creme, put 3 donut holes on top coated in excess powdered sugar, covered them in icing, punched 2 more holes and put raspberry filling in them, and then put walnuts on top. Right after they announced that Craig was to be the new Bond, I rented "Layer Cake" and watched it twice in a row, back to back. Loved it. I made it about two pages in, and pass out with the book in my lap. About an hour later, or so I'm told, my brother and his girlfriend-at-the-time come home (he was staying with me then). I carried on a lucid, but drunk conversation with them as the dropped off some stuff and got ready to go out. As they were leaving, I whispered to my brother "You hhhaaaaffff to khilll hhherrrr....Ssssheesh an enemy agshent..."

Beverage Concepts says its nonalcoholic "Liquid Experience" drinks, named for Hendrix's breakthrough album, "Are You Experienced?" will debut in April.

The concept is irking some Hendrix fans, many of whom still consider him the greatest guitarist of all time.

The gorgeousness of 'Fugitive Motel' seconded. It's a much warmer record than Asleep In The Back, it's got this lovely soothing amniotic feel about it.

What I really like about it is that I know 100% that I don't love it as much as I will. Immediacy isn't an Elbow strong point - it took me about six months to really get into Asleep... - but the songs sort of sneak up on you gradually over a period of time.

I've always wondered if something unsavoury happened with a band/artist would it put me off the bands actual music even if the music/lyrics weren't related to it in any way.
If someone was an extreme right wing racist I don't think I could ever listen to their music again even if it wasn't actually contained in the music.

I used to run away a lot. A LOT. When I was really young, pre-kindergarten, and for no good reason. Well, once it was to mail a letter to my grandmother that was addressed to "Mom Mom Rogers" and stamped with a stamp that I drew myself. I can't remember why else, other than being bored. I probably didn't go more than a couple blocks, but once my father came home from work only to find me walking along the shoulder of a dual highway. I wasn't allowed to play outside for two whole days and I totally didn't see what the big deal was.
