1. Another Green World (by far)
2. Here Come The Warm Jets
3. Before And After Science
4. Taking Tiger Mountain
5. Wrong Way Up (I personally can't stand this record, but it's the only other "vocal" record I've heard of his)

Reed, OTM.

This is the first time I've used "OTM"

What's wrong with Wrong Way Up? Not a masterpiece, but it's got beautiful melodies and lovely arrangements (I don't get the complaints that it's "dated" at all). "One Word" is simply marvelous.

of the old ones, tiger mt > warm jets >> another green world >>>>>> before & after science. (the latter is still great, it just seems a little forced at times compared to the other three.)

I've only heard one track off the new one. it was good though.

5. My Life in the Bush of Ghosts

This is assuming June 1, 1974 does not qualify as having enough Eno. I haven't heard Another Green World enough to rank it.

Maybe MLITBOG doesn't qualify as "vocal", but I think of it that way because I can't group it with his ambient albums.

I thought this thread was gonna be about examples of awful Eno singing performances.

Anyhoo, here goes:

01 Taking Tiger Mountain
02 Here Come the Warm Jets
03 Another Green World
04 Before and After Science
05 Another Day on Earth

My Life in the Bush of Ghosts is in my all-time top 20, but it's neither solo nor vocal Eno.

TTM
HCTWJ
AGW
BAS

I wish the contingent who think AGW is the best would explain what they see in it over TTM.

Where is the love for "801 Live"?

Dr Benway (dr benway), Wednesday, 22 June 2005 06:01 (twenty years ago)

Oh, because it's not a solo album. Sorry!

All the vocals on Eno's new album are pretty rank.

My Life in the Bush of Ghosts is in my all-time top 20, but it's neither solo nor vocal Eno.

It may not be vocal, but since everyone's including the Eno/Cale album as solo Eno, I figure Eno/Byrne can be included too.

You figured wrong, pal. ;-)

Having listened to "Before and After Science" for the first time last night, I think I'd rank it now between TTMBS and HCTWJ.
