I'm puking Jandek already.

The funny thing is, I like avant garde, I like noise, but Jandek
does nothing for me.

Jandek defines inaccessability. Jandek makes the Shaggs sound like
the Beatles. Jandek makes Daniel Johnston sound like Daniel Powter.

Try an experiment. Burn a mix CD with 1 Jandek 'song.' That
track WILL be skipped.

I'll never understand Jandek. I guess that's kinda the point,
though, huh? Maybe I'll name a child (of indeterminate sex) as
a tribute to the depths of musical weirdness that exist outside of
our own minds.

Well, I tried downloading some last night - looks like I underestimated Slsk after months of waiting for New Bad Things albums to come up. I got myself some of Blue Corpse and Chair Against A Window (?). I actually quite liked it. Not sure I'd want to listen to it again, but I quite liked it.

My housemate, on the other hand - a man who makes white noise tracks with Amiga sound effects over the top, and is disconcerted by the Shaggs - was in hysterics.

The Daniel Johnson I have heard wasn't inaccessible at all, but admittedly that's not much.
