The Wondrous Vulva Puppet

latebloomer: You may order a puppet similar to this one (latebloomer), Monday, 25 July 2005 03:13 (twenty years ago)

Jelasa the Hutt is the first female Hutt to take control of a majority of the Hutt Crime Empire. Every bit as ruthless and cunning as Jabba or Gabba, Jelasa has emerged from the Hutt power struggle as the most dangerous leader. Her Clan is that of Jabba's and is feared throughout Hutt Space. She moved quickly to establish a throne world near Nal Hutta in order to surround herself with her wealth and protection. She has also called together several mercenary militia to her banner as well as dozens of scum and villany. She is rebuilding some of the Hutt contacts and supply lines recently cutt by the Puerto Nuevo Syndicate who she blames on her Uncle Gabba's death. Very few people are allowed a direct audience with Jelasa because of her paranoia and also keeps who is working for her a secret. The new word is one will never know quite who is working for Jelasa but if one of her employees is harmed or shipment lost/stolen, she puts high bounties on their heads. Her current whereabouts are unknown.

But take the rap-rock hybrid of nu-metal, for example. That had very few direct precedents - nothing had really sounded like that in rock up to that point. But it was NEW, it was RADICAL, it was LOUD GUITARS + RAPPING + ANGSTINESS, and it had not been done before. It embraced digital technology and the trappings of rap. But it sounded like shit and was a critical punching bag, so no one wants to call it innovative.

Since Shakey was OTM again, I thought I'd share this personal anecdote (that can later be laughed at on multiple boards)...

I used to spend a lot of time at this Jazz coffeehouse in Jax FL circa 1993, and I befriended all the rock dudes who were in the Jazz program at UNF.

Eventually, we'd vaguely talk about forming a band over pre-bedtime breakfasts. They all wanted to do what they called "heavy groove". I had no idea what specifically that was, but they cited Rage Agianst..., of course. They all knew I had a little rap career a few years prior - after a while they'd look to me and say "you know, it'd be cool if you rap on it." I'd laugh it off and say "no one wants to hear rapping on Rock music...oh, wait, Rage. Nevermind."

I always thought they were being half assed and somewhat joking. I never flat out said no, but it was pretty clear I wan't into the idea.

Eventually, the coffehouse closed down and I went my way, never taking the idea of their band serious. I bumped into one of the guys about a year later and he said "hey, we actually decided to have someone rap over our band since you weren't so into it. He's a tattoo guy named Fred."

Ladies and gentlemen, Limp Bizkit.

that reminds me of the time in film class when a girl wrote a short film script that we were all supposed to read in class. It was incredibly creepy. Her name was Jen and she had a crush on this guy named Tony in class, and she was supposed to choose who would read what parts. The script was about a 9 year old girl named Jen seducing a 35 year old guy named Anthony, in extremely graphic fashion, and she chose herself and Tony to read the roles. The class was horrified, the professor was uncomfortably ecstatic.

"You lost your stomach, I lost my mind"

Tuesday, noon, eastbound Fullerton bus. I sat pristinely in my pressed shirt and tie en route to job interview. You in your skintight black jeans and white t-shirt proclaiming an entertaining variety of pro-Puerto Rican slogans. Our eyes met and the gaze we shared transcended any cultural boundaries society would wish to impose upon our burdgeoning romance. I could tell by the jaundice in your skin that my piercing blue eyes and shocking pallor were twisting your insides in such a profound fit of ecstasy. Even so, I was taken aback when you suddenly rose to make a swift exit, unable to contain your glee, and bestowed SOMEONE ELSE with the contents of your stomach brought on by the rapture of our unspoken amor. The cruel pace of our unrelenting bus driver prevented me from following you out to the curb and left me to ponder why I was not the one to receive the angelic outpouring.

I stopped by the Home Depot on my way home and purchased a bucket. If you feel the same way, let me know and I'll also bring over some ginger ale.

Just a beautiful, beautiful toilet: great lid, nice bowl, fantastic seat, and personality too, a bubbly, infectious joy that just put a smile on your face every time. Even after we stopped seeing each other, I'd think back on that toilet, and something inside me would just want one moment alone with it, just a few minutes to lock the door, drop my pants, and really have at it, just one last time. You said your right thumb is on top. This suggests the left side of your brain is dominant.

The left side of your brain is said to be more adept at language, logic and linear thinking.

The right side of your brain is said to control your visual, spatial and intuitive processes.

I call bullshit. This has nothing to do with left/right brain dominance. It's actually a completely independent trait--left thumb on top = dominant allele, right thumb on top = recessive allele.

Anyway, Kate has it right -- they should have been a fake band in a TV miniseries on Channel 4 where two doe-eyed lead actors alternately screwed each other, shot up and bitched out each other on-stage, but there was no actual music heard aside from bad feedback. Now I'll agree Alfred has picked up on that himself with his description, but you don't need the actual music of the song for that, and good thing too.

Surely you've heard the legendary anecdote about The Greatest Story Ever Told?

Wayne had one line in that movie, at the end, when he delivered the words, "Truly this was the Son of God." Director George Stevens, who reminded him that he was talking about Jesus and said, "You've got to deliver the line with a little more awe." So on the next take, John Wayne said, "Aw, truly this was the Son of God."

ok, this is hilarious.

JAKE
Christian Reformed. It's a Dutch
Calvinist denomination.
NIKI
Do they believe in reincarnation? I
believe in reincarnation.

JAKE
They believe in the 'TULIP.'

NIKI
What the crap?

JAKE
(smiles)
It's an anagram. It comes from the
Canons of Dort. Every letter stands
for a different belief. T-U-L-I-P.
Like -- are you sure you're interested
in this?

NIKI
Yeah, yeah, go on.

JAKE
T stands for Total depravity, that
is, all men, through original sin,
are totally evil and incapable of
good. 'All my works are like filthy
rags in the sight of the Lord.'

NIKI
Shit.

Jake is charmed. He's never been called upon to explain his
beliefs to someone so totally ignorant of them.

JAKE
Be that as it may. U is for
Unconditional Election. God has chosen
a certain number of people to be
saved, The Elect, and He has chosen
them from the beginning of time. L
is for Limited Atonement. Only a
limited number will be atoned, will
go to Heaven.

NIKI
Fuck.

JAKE
I can stop if you want.

NIKI
No, please go on.

The INTERCOM ANNOUNCES a flight: Jake listens for a moment.
It's a flight to Mexico City.

JAKE
I is for Irresistible Grace. God's
grace cannot be resisted or denied.
And P is for the Perseverance of the
Saints. Once you are in Grace you
cannot fall from the number of the
elect. And that's the 'TULIP.'

NIKI
Wait, wait. I'm trying to figure
this out. This is like Rona Barrett.
Before you become saved, God already
knows who you are?

JAKE
He has to. That's Predestination. If
God is omniscient, if He knows
everything -- and He wouldn't be God
if He didn't -- then He must have
known, even before the creation of
the world, the names of those who
would be saved.

NIKI
So it's already worked out. The fix
is in?

JAKE
More or less.

NIKI
Wow. Then why be good? Either you're
saved or you ain't.

JAKE
Out of gratitude for being chosen.
That's where Grace comes in. God
first chooses you, then allows you,
by Grace, to choose Him of your own
free will.

NIKI
(amazed)
You really believe all that?

JAKE
Yeah.
(shrugs)
Well, mostly.

NIKI
I thought I was fucked up.

JAKE
I'll admit it's confusing from the
outside. You've got to see it from
the inside.

NIKI
If you see anything from the inside
it makes sense. You ought to hear
perverts talk. A guy once almost had
me convinced to let his dachshund
fuck me.

JAKE
It's not quite the same thing.

NIKI
It doesn't make any sense to me.

Guys guys guys can't you see that these ads are a barely restrained and vicious critique of American society as a whole?!?! "AMERICAN APPAREL" = t-shirt (extrapolated out into "tyranny-shirt") made "transparent" (see-thru, as in "see through the tyranny") by the refreshing and cleansing force of "water" (i.e., the persistance of the worker's rebellion against the overseers, like the constant and powerful tides of the ocean) to expose the "nipples" (i.e., the plight of the underpriviliged - they are brown and wrinkly, how much more obvious can a metaphor be?). the story goes that she was sucking of harold behind the coffee shop when lou c walked round the corner to see what was happening, before long hes ploughing it into her arse, DRY. stuart is called by a dis-stressed passer-by and when he arrives he is so turned on by this he slides himself underneath and sticks it her cunt along with his trungeon in her arse along with lous cock. she was still screaming out for more when toadie came along to read them bouncer's will. he didnt join in because he still had feelings for cindi, so he decided to just watch and beat off over it. hours had passed of savage abuse when she decided enough was enough and wanted to be hosed down. without any hesitation they all stood round her and hosed her down like the dirtbag that she is.
GOD I LOVE HER

Me and a friend once came up with a perfect all-purpose chant for demonstrations. See, the word stupid is "tyhmä" in Finnish,
and it rhymes with the word "ryhmä", which means a group. So everytime at demonstrations we chanted stuff like "The
bourgeoisie is stupid, we have a big group!" or "USA is stupid, we have a big group!".

I have realized my life's goal...at least as a fan of music

I have been adrift for far too long...I have sailed the seas of indie and new acoustic, both of which still hold fond memories for me, and I hope to revist some day...but I have found my calling, my true purpose in life!
I shall, in systematic fashion, collect a large amount of hip hop and analyze to the most minute level possible the samples contained therein.

There is nothing terribly profound or original about this, but I have realized that this, more than most other things, will bring me enjoyment as a music fan.

I have spent the afternoon reading old threads re: old skool hip hop etc. I need a $30 - $40 starter, and am thinking either the Def Jam box or the Sugar Hill Box. Any other suggestions?

The best fuck off exchange for me, while managing a restaraunt/brewery:
Me (greeting the customers)(at 3pm in the afternoon, a time when we closed the kitchen for an hour to prepare for dinner):
Hi! What can I do for you?
Them: We were wondering if we could get something to eat.
Me: Well, we close between 3 and 5 for regular service, and just keep the bar open.
Them: But you're open.
Me: Yes, but if you look at the sign on the door, it states that we close the kitchen in the afternoon. So the cooks can get a little break, y'know? I can recommend some other places if you'd like.
Them: But, since you're open could we get, like, a sandwich or something?
Me: I'm really sorry, but the kitchen is closed.
Them: So you can't, like, make me sandwich?
Me: You know what? You're the lucky person who has secretly surmised that when I said the kitchen was closed, I was lying! There's ANOTHER kitchen, that is only open for you! But we don't advertise it - you have to guess! Have some peanuts as your appetizer!
Them:(slowly backing out the door, stunned into an appropriate silence)

Second hand swimsuits? EEEEWWWW!
My son always says "have fun wearing clothes from dead people."

"i" mydocuments/mypictures/marissayoyd.jpeg
-- marissa -marchant (freakvo...), August 14th, 2005. (later)

I think it has to begin with "http." It can't go directly to your PC, it has to be something that's up on a server somewhere.
It's not a lie. This board has been set up so you can post images by putting an "i" in front of a link to an image.

Maybe someone else can explain it better, because I don't understand the technical side of it.

But there's no way you will be able to link directly to something in your "My Documents" file. The image file has to be up on a server.

-- Rockist_Scientist (Al__suca...), August 14th, 2005. (later)

(When you use the i, don't use quotation marks around it, either.)
Okay, here is an example. Here's a link, right:

http://image.gsfc.nasa.gov/press_release/2000_05_31/aurora_0095.jpg

Now, if you put an i in front of that url, you get the image itself (unless it's too large):

http://image.gsfc.nasa.gov/press_release/2000_05_31/aurora_0095.jpg

-- Rockist_Scientist (Al__suca...), August 14th, 2005. (later)

that would make sense, so I have nothing to prove anyway.
I could always email my photos if someone was curious as to what I look like. I am not desperate for attention.

i don't know where it's gone, but i have to say that tswcyl was terrific, a one-stop source for all the best and most critically-acclaimed albums in the whole world of music. it turned me on to so many awesome cds-- real, meaningful, experimental cds that weren't getting the attention they so richly deserved.

it's funny to mention zach braff, because did you know the site got its name from his movie, garden state? there's a scene where natalie portman plays "new slang" by the shins and says "listen to this, it'll change your life." it's a really awesome scene.

dipset = music for rich white hipsters??? no, and you need to shut up. listen, i'm from washington heights, born & raised. when hell rell says "i done copped from every damn haze spot on audobon" i'm like 'so did i, what?' when they talk about stuff up here in the heights and in harlem it's real shit.. all the lil pubescent mother fuckers on my block yell byrd gang and throw eagles up, it's like that. i dont know where you people are from but have you seen 40 kids rushing a cop car to pull their friend who was arrested out??? welcome to purple city... kids get crazy up here and the music up here is dipset, well, at least dipset will get played a lot here and these are not white people they are dominicans. really what santana must do is generate a public persona that has more sides to it than his current one. the whole 'back like cooked crack' persona needs to culminate with 'fiend out' whenever that drops because personally i find it hard to believe that Juelz Santana a.k.a. LeRon James is out there selling crack in harlem.... i haven't seen him selling crack on the streets, and i doubt any one else has either. he's defintaley not on 140th & lenox, or at least i don't see him there.

Yesterday I was introduced to a guy who got a degree from University of Wisconsin-Madison, and I said "Wow, I know a guy who went there and studied music and took some classes with a very famous bass player! The latter part of course was not spoken aloud, but only added retroactively when I was reviewing the days events.

I remember not having an opinion on G-Love one way or the other until I saw them live. It's kind of hard not to feel contempt for someone who exudes self-satisfied "Oh yeah, I AM ROCKING YOUR WORLD; you've heard me on the radio" vibes when they are performing on a stage three feet off the ground in the middle of a tiny, tiny patch of grass. Plus, instead of rocking my world they were lulling it to sleep with boring boring music.

I half-expected dude to whip out his cock, cum on the three people dancing in front of the stage (as opposed to the 20 standing around drinking the free beer and the 300 who walked onto the quad, looked at the band and turned away with the most priceless "OH HELL NO" faces ever pulled) and shout "THIS IS WHAT GOOD MUSIC TASTES LIKE, BABY!" but that would have been interesting and I could see three minutes into the set that "interesting" just wasn't on the cards for that day. 3. Tried straightening a picture frame on the bedroom wall, impossible!
4. Remembered that I had to put the chicken in the oven! Oh my god! Look at watch and realize only 1 minute has passed since I first reminded myself.
5. Put on Sonny Rollins and it freaked me out because I kept thinking the saxophone was an angry car horn outside the house.
6. Turned on PS2 but forgot to switch on tv and so did not ever play ps2.
7. Remember again about the chicken! Oh no, better do it. Look at my watch and realize that it is only JUST time to put chicken in oven and that all this stuff has only happened in the space of five minutes, even though it seemed like a couple fo hours.
8 Stare at chicken. Gross.
9. See banana on top of fridge and eat it. Tastes sharp and horrible.
10. Remember about the chicken! Slide chicken into oven and feel relieved.
11. Wife arrives home. Don't feel like telling her I am stoned so try to act normal. Say "I PUT THE CHICKEN IN THE OVEN ON TIME". She looks at me funny.
12. Alex In SF calls. We talk about music and Canada and I want to tell him that I am stoned, but stoned logic tells me that I should not. I make what I think are several hilarious "jokes' but Alex does not respond. Am I not funny? Are these even "jokes" per se? I don't know.
13. Eat chicken.
14. Fall asleep.

"Vikernes has been fascinated with the fictional realm of Mordor from J.R.R. Tolkien's The Lord of the Rings Trilogy from a very young age, claiming to have mastered the Black Speech from which he took the term Burzum. According to Vikernes, the Christianized perspective of Germanic-sourced myths used in the books to create the Black Speech inspired Tolkien to give the word burz the meaning of 'darkness', whereas the old Germanic term bertz meant 'bright', 'light', or 'brilliant' in pre-Christian times. An interview with a childhood friend revealed that, in his teen years, Vikernes had dreamed of being an elf, a mythological being of the Tolkien lore. He went as far as going to school dressed up in bright-coloured pseudo-medieval clothes and pointy false ears. This, however, led his school mates to call him a fairy of a different sort. Embittered by the mockery, Vikernes embraced the darker aspects of Tolkien's writing. He was still called a fairy though."

another time when I was a junior in high school, i went out on a date with a college girl, which I thought was awesome. we ended up going to an Applebee's in Rockford, and she got totally trashed. apparently she knew a lot of the guys there, because she started going around to other tables, grabbing her tits and shaking them at each guy, and then when she finally returned to the table and sat down, she said, "You just watch, honey. Give it five minutes and these guys will all come over here. They totally want to get their hands on....(and then standing up, turning to the room, and shouting)...these FORTY DOUBLE D'S!!!"

This elicited a lot of hollerin'. My expression this entire time was something like this, except more pained: : o

"My brother was standing next to me outside Forbidden Planet repeating "we are nowhere and it's now" to himself without stopping for breath. grimly fiendish passed and gave us a funny look, then muttered something and walked off down Buchanan Street. My brother told me I to follow him and find out if he was "one in control".
I chased grimly down the street and he told me to leave him alone. I said "first you must tell me... When are you? Where are you? What are you doing and why? When are you? Where are you? What are you doing and why? When are you? Where are you? What are you doing and why?"

He replied "It's Monday at 6pm I'm walking down Buchanan Street, going home because my work is done." To which I said "Ah, but don't you see at least 1 in 20 say that and still carry bottled water? You are One In Control!"

He laughed and disappeared into the St Enoch underground station.

It's true about the piss-taking as a sign of affection thing, but I think all British people do that, with geography and class being no factor.

Oh god, if you count The Princess Bride you're counting like tons and tons of vaguely-meta fiction -- e.g. practically everything Paul
Lafarge writes. (I think his newest is even bilingual, with the "original French" included.) Not to mention loads of the late 19th century
("this account is presented as it was penned by Admiral Snorgheath, whose log was discovered among the wreckage of the ill-fated H.M.S.
Dorkupine").

My concern is more over toilet paper habits. Usually those who have a difficult time flushing are the one's who treat the toilet paper roll like cats, batting at the thing with their claws non-stop until there's a mountain, then dropping it into the bowel.

GOD BLESS YOU SCOTT CE.. YOU POST THIS OVER A YEAR AGO ON THE FREE FLOATING PARANOIA THREAD BUT HAVE PROVIDED ME WITH MUUUUCH OVERDUE RAWFFLES TODAY... :) :)

Your neighbors. I wonder what they think of you. If you live in an apartment building, try this little experiment. Today when you go home (or if you are already home, because perhaps you are unemployable or something), turn off all the appliances and lights in your apartment. If you have a pet, send the pet to a friend's house or set them free or whatever. If you have roommates, be sure to do this when they are not around. What I am getting at is that you need to make sure the place is totally silent and still. Then, just sit and listen. Here's what you'll discover (provided you do this long enough). You can hear a LOT of what your neighbors are doing. You can hear a lot of their conversations. You can often tell what TV shows and movies they are watching, or at least what kind of TV shows and movies they are watching (for example, a lot of gunshots and screeching tires indicates they watch ACTION). You can hear what music or radio stations they like, or if they are from another country, or a whole host of other information. Pretty interesting, right? Well, guess what? It just got a whole lot more interesting because consider THIS: one of your neighbors has probably already been doing this exact same thing to you for a long time. (and if you don't hear anything, obviously, your neighbors are already listening to you in silence).
So your neighbor knows that you listen to Billy Joel, or "These Dreams" by Heart, or whatever your musical shame is. And your neighbor knows you watch porn or don't, or have sex a lot or never, or have a lot of fights with your significant other (and probably heard that crack about "If that's the way you feel, why don't you just have a million of his babies!"), or that you like to act out scenes from "Full House", or whatever other thing it is that you desperately don't want other people to know. Well, but it's only one or two people that know, right? You're naivete is infectious, my friend, but deadly (maybe). How many people keep information to themselves these days? It seems to me entirely possible your neighbor has started a website devoted to ridiculing you and exposing your secrets to the world, including the government part of the world. But how to find out? You could google yourself, but I doubt your neighbor is that stupid. Here's what I would suggest. Figure out what your neighbors' (all of the adjacent ones) full names are. For god's sake, don't ask them. Stake out the mailboxes, or pose as a repairman, or something like that (you need to do some of the brain work yourself--be adaptable). Once you have figured out this information, hire a private detective to break into their house and smash their computer into small pieces. On second thought, you probably don't need a private detective to do that--you could do it yourself.

"In the first place we have granted to the 12' Lizards, and by this our present charter confirmed for us and our heirs forever that ILX shall be free, and shall have her rights entire, and her liberties inviolate by trolls and spambots; and we will that it be thus observed; which is apparent from this that the freedom of elections, which is reckoned most important and very essential to ILX, we, of our pure and unconstrained will, did grant, and did by our charter confirm and did obtain the ratification of the same from our lord, Pope Dan I, before the quarrel arose between us and our Barans: and this we will observe, and our will is that it be observed in good faith by our heirs forever. We have also granted to all freemen of our kingdom, for us and our heirs forever, all the underwritten liberties, to be had and held by them and their heirs, of us and our heirs forever."

I bought a pack of 'Peter North's Pro Training' cock rings on the dranked up recommendation of someone whose actual name is Ainsleigh. Three rings in different sizes and endless combinations - though I can't roll with the ones involving ball constriction - mines is too close to my body and it hurts. But the main configuration, wowzorz. Half an hour of devastating hugeness, and with repeat use you naturally start being that way on your own more easily. You feel like you could easily tear out someone's stomach with that thing, like a true national champion.
