if i delete this will you be upset?

Konal Doddz (blueski), Wednesday, 11 October 2006 11:54 (nineteen years ago)

why would you want to delete it?

ken c (ken c), Wednesday, 11 October 2006 11:54 (nineteen years ago)

it's hardly anything to get upset over but it'd be nice to know a good reason

ken c (ken c), Wednesday, 11 October 2006 11:55 (nineteen years ago)

If you really wanted it deleted you should have made it very useful and included the word "hoonja doonja" in the title.

Euai Kapaui (tracerhand), Wednesday, 11 October 2006 11:57 (nineteen years ago)

good reasons to start threads vs good reasons to delete them

Konal Doddz (blueski), Wednesday, 11 October 2006 12:14 (nineteen years ago)

The Soviet bloc one is pretty good, to be fair.

Matt DC (Matt DC), Wednesday, 11 October 2006 12:16 (nineteen years ago)

i'm fucking sick of them, haven't even checked Soviet Bloc.

teh_kit (g-kit), Wednesday, 11 October 2006 12:17 (nineteen years ago)

ha ha, just cos your one actually got deleted.

Konal Doddz (blueski), Wednesday, 11 October 2006 12:18 (nineteen years ago)

i like the star trek one, don't delete that.

Ste (Fuzzy), Wednesday, 11 October 2006 12:39 (nineteen years ago)

Turn back, turn back, there's blood on the track.

Laurel (Laurel), Wednesday, 11 October 2006 12:41 (nineteen years ago)

hey, i liked the first ones!

teh_kit (g-kit), Wednesday, 11 October 2006 12:50 (nineteen years ago)

thanks for taking the time to dig all of those up

but only two of them are meta, so your point doesn't really hit

Konal Doddz (blueski), Wednesday, 11 October 2006 12:54 (nineteen years ago)

only three of yours are meta

ken c (ken c), Wednesday, 11 October 2006 12:58 (nineteen years ago)

if i delete this will you be upset?
-- Konal Doddz (stevem7...), October 11th, 2006 1:54 PM. (later) (link)

at least you were asked, ken!
WAI 2 HAET TEH_KIT, STEVEM? ;)

teh_kit (g-kit), Wednesday, 11 October 2006 13:00 (nineteen years ago)

i mean, what was your point? copycat threads or meta? make up your mind!

ken c (ken c), Wednesday, 11 October 2006 13:01 (nineteen years ago)

does anyone ever 'contact the administrator' when they get poxy fuled?

estela (estela), Wednesday, 11 October 2006 13:27 (nineteen years ago)

none of those threads are really copycat threads either. but somehow this thread came across as both meta and copycat, a deadly combination which has been treated with disdain by moderators in the past - even before the radical Harvell Declaration of 1837. when ILX finally goes kaput i'll just tell them i was 'only obeying orders' and hopefully just get off with three hail marys.

Konal Doddz (blueski), Wednesday, 11 October 2006 13:44 (nineteen years ago)

thread is working hard to justify self.

benrique (Enrique), Wednesday, 11 October 2006 14:12 (nineteen years ago)

i don't get pozy fuled anymore, just a page cannot be displayed error.

why?

Ste (Fuzzy), Wednesday, 11 October 2006 14:14 (nineteen years ago)

It would be quite cool if someone could magically redirect this to the Poxy Fule screen every time anyone clicks on it.

Matt DC (Matt DC), Wednesday, 11 October 2006 14:30 (nineteen years ago)

I'm just waiting for the two "In ever duplicate thread ever" threads to turn up, and for the inevitable self-referencing to kill of ILE and possibly turn the universe inside out.

Anro Ewmu (andyboyo), Wednesday, 11 October 2006 14:42 (nineteen years ago)

Oops. That should of course have read "kill off ILE".
I'm not illiterate. Honest.

Anro Ewmu (andyboyo), Wednesday, 11 October 2006 14:43 (nineteen years ago)

don't meta threads have to be about threads though? rather than when threads don't appear?

ken c (ken c), Wednesday, 11 October 2006 15:15 (nineteen years ago)

meta = about ilx

only 3 items on the list then?

Konal Doddz (blueski), Wednesday, 11 October 2006 15:21 (nineteen years ago)

i think you have a wrong concept of meta

ken c (ken c), Wednesday, 11 October 2006 15:26 (nineteen years ago)

you don't think a thread where the subject is a reference to something ILX-related is meta?

Konal Doddz (blueski), Wednesday, 11 October 2006 15:30 (nineteen years ago)

Should I giggle every time I get the "Turn Back You Poxy Fule" page? I understand the "fule/fool" pun, but what does fule mean? What does poxy mean? Do computer geeks actually find this stuff hilarious?

King-a-Ling (King-a-Ling), Wednesday, 11 October 2006 15:33 (nineteen years ago)

It's a reference to Nigel Molesworth and the "How to be topp" and all that...

mark grout (mark grout), Wednesday, 11 October 2006 15:34 (nineteen years ago)

Wow, I just googled "poxy fule" and ILX has totally pwned Molesworthy in derivation. I don't think Molesworthy even came up on the list.

Three In A Bed Socks Romp (kate), Wednesday, 11 October 2006 15:36 (nineteen years ago)

since poxy fule = the non-existence of ilx.

poxy fule reference are kind of more ANTI-META than meta

ken c (ken c), Wednesday, 11 October 2006 15:43 (nineteen years ago)

omg i never thought of it that way before. thru the lookin glass yo

Konal Doddz (blueski), Wednesday, 11 October 2006 15:50 (nineteen years ago)

get off the thread then.

ken c (ken c), Wednesday, 11 October 2006 15:53 (nineteen years ago)

have you thought of a fourth thing yet?

Konal Doddz (blueski), Wednesday, 11 October 2006 15:59 (nineteen years ago)

whoa...meta

a name means a lot just by itself (lfam), Wednesday, 11 October 2006 15:59 (nineteen years ago)

two years pass...
